Some techniques take been drawn from ancient traditions such as Zen, Sufi, Tantra, Tao, and the Upanishads, others include the revolutionary techniques created by Osho specially for the mod man who finds it hard to quieten his mind. There is even a meditation for smokers.
- notes
- Read this book every bit PDF or create a free account at osho.com to read the book online.
- Later published as part of Osho Books on CD-ROM.
- Colophon folio:
-
- With the exception of chapter iii, chapter eight, and the department on techniques devised by Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, the material in this volume originally appeared in Dynamics of Meditation, published by Jeevan Jagriti Kendra (at present known as the Rajneesh Foundation). It is published here with their kind permission.
- Affiliate 3 originally appeared in Sannyas 3 No one (January-February 1974), under the title "Modern Human being and His Neurosis". Information technology is reprinted hither with the kind permission of the publisher, Neo-Sannyas International.
- Chapter viii from a discourse titled "The Occult Mysteries of Initation" that originally appeared in the book I Am the Gate.
-
- Editors (our inquiry):
-
- The material from Dynamics of Meditation is mixed to form completely new chapters, extensively edited, and parts of chapters have been left out. A function of chapter eleven and Appendices iv & vi of Dynamics are non plant in this book at all.
- The colophon'south statement "With the exception of chapter 3, chapter viii, and the department on techniques devised by Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, the material in this book originally appeared in Dynamics of Meditation" seems not entirely correct.
- See table of contents for more than details. Below some specific remarks:
- The Introduction, "Meditation: The Fine art of Commemoration", is a function of an interview with Dr. Grazia Marchiano, now Ma Veet Sandeh, Neo-Sannyas International President for Europe, in Bombay, Bharat in March 4, 1971.
- Ch. 3 is the "Text of an interview with Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh by Ma Yoga Bhasha of New York, U.s.a.A., on January xx, 1973, Mumbai, India." It has about one-half of that interview. This seems the only affiliate that is a first publication here.
- Ch. viii is from 1971-06-x, I Am the Gate ch.seven. It contains parts from that text, information technology is about half of that, simply edited.
- Ch. 9, the outset part is from an unknown source, the rest is an edited version of q.i of Dynamics of Meditation ~ 05
- Ch. 19, "Techniques Devised past Bhagwan Shree", is a practical description of Osho's meditation techniques. It is not written or spoken past Osho. See discussion for a listing of the meditations. It is not part of the CD-ROM.
-
- Rajneesh Foundation published this volume in 1977 under the title Meditation: The Art of Inner Ecstasy. That has the same text and type-folio equally the 1976 edition of this book.
